Supporting Homeless Young People & Families

“Mental health and homelessness go together.”

“you have no privacy, you feel desperate, unsettled and irritated”

This World Homelessness Day we are delighted to launch a toolkit and learning resource for public health nurses focusing on addressing health inequalities in homeless children, young people and families.

The Young People’s Health Partnership and Homeless Link worked with Public Health England to deliver this work as part of the Health & Wellbeing Alliance. Our blog details the process including the role of partner organisations from the Alliance and our external partner the Queen’s Nursing Institute.

The resources sets out how homelessness affects young people and families, what professionals can do and provides links to a range of resources and examples from practice.
