about AYPH
The Association for Young People’s Health (AYPH) is a progressive new charity and membership forum, creating a focus for everyone working in the field of young people’s health across the UK.
Our Mission
Young people have a right to good health. AYPH brings together professionals and organisations working to improve young people’s health and well-being. By sharing learning and best practice we can promote and provide better services to meet young people’s health needs.
With our members, we aim to promote and support the health and well-being of young people by:
-
Encouraging and facilitating more effective communication between practitioners
-
Working to raise the profile and understanding of young people’s health needs
-
Improving access to information, resources, innovation and best practice
-
Promoting evidence-based practice by making research findings more accessible and supporting new studies into young people’s health
-
Involving young people in our work
Welcome message from AYPH Chair - John Coleman
I would like to welcome you to the AYPH website.
AYPH is a new and thriving multi-disciplinary membership organisation, working to support professionals in the field of young people’s health.
We hope you will find the website easy to use, and a valuable resource for you in your practice. AYPH is committed to improving the flow of information between clinicians, managers, policy makers and young people themselves, and we intend our website to be used to promote this aim.
We will do everything we can to provide regular updates on our activities and the activities of others in the health field. We will offer our members a regular research digest, and we will use our website to facilitate links between all who are interested in young people’s health.
Please join with us in furthering our aims:- to raise awareness, to encourage research, to promote training, and to improve the health care of young people.
Dr John Coleman OBE
